Acquiring a Real Estate License in the State of Oregon

In Oregon one is required to be 18 years of age, complete
the course work in the online classes, pass a criminal background check and
then pass the State of Oregon exam.

1. The costs
involved are as follows: the 7 classes are in the form of online courses and
the cost is $300.00 through our recommended vendor. The benefit to online
courses is that one can study any time of day seven days a week and if you
don’t understand something you can go back and restudy that particular
area. As a student is required to spend at least 150 hours studying this
material any of the following costs would not concern you until this is
completed.
2. The cost
of the background check is $65.00 including finger printing. This
actually goes to the FBI and takes about 3-4 weeks. This will not be
required until you have taken those 7 classes and pass the State of Oregon
exam.
3. The application
fee to take the State Exam is $75.00 and once you pass, to activate your
license the cost is $230.00 for the two year license. In Oregon one is
licensed for 2 years at a time.
